The weather has certainly changed since we last talked. Short days and cold winds Winter is just around the corner. But wasn’t Sunday superb!! We headed out to the Wind Farm for a pre breakfast walk along the track and a visit to the beach via 400 +steps. With the off shore wind the beach was beautiful and the Surfers and fisherpeople were taking full advantage catching great waves and plenty of Salmon and Herring. We always return home from here refreshed and fired up for a big Sunday breakfast.
On the subject of food, the Sunday before we went out to the Bush Food CafĂ© out at Young Sidings for a fabulous lunch with a bunch of friends. The food and service is very good, the coffee and cake awesome, combined with amazing views a great afternoon out. We are so lucky to have this sort of alternative cafe right on our doorstep. Nb It’s BYO. Our Abbey Creek Pinot Noir was perfect with the curries.

June Birthdays
Pearl is a Birthstone for June, and for the astrological
signs of Scorpio and Cancer. It is the traditional gift for a 30th anniversary (reflecting
its historical high value); although in the modern lists Pearls are to be given for the twelfth
anniversary. Pearls are associated with the values of modesty, purity,
beauty, and happiness.
Alternate Birthstone
Moonstone, a type of feldspar named because of its uncanny resemblance to
the iridescent sheen of the moon. Varying in color from clear to blue-white
or peach, it was considered by ancient civilizations to be a sacred stone,
bestowing the wearer with great spiritual understanding. Some believed that
the Moonstone could even make a person invisible! Mined in Sri Lanka,
Brazil, India, Madagascar, and the United States, a gift of this stone is
symbolic of health and longevity.
We have a great range of Freshwater Pearls and Moonstone to choose from.
